Curious if you find the HF2 not having enough soundstage or tense with the Pietus. I do like the amp but at times a bit claustrophobic if that makes sense.

I’ve mentioned I did liked my Grado better on my Pietus compared to Piety. It’s mostly due to the gain as the Pietus allows more room to turn the knob. As for synergy goes, the headroom or soundstage is a bit too enclosed to my liking although the way it represents music is very mature. Curious...

FWIW, the Piety was a little meh for me, but somehow I am really enjoying the Pietus with my Grado.

Really wanted to try out the newer models but the fear of cracked cups is whats really stopping me. My daily driver was made in 2009 and still going strong even after dropping them several times. I highly doubt if the hybrid ones will sustain that long.

I'm still mystified when people pair the little dot mk2 with grados. On paper a hybrid is better for low z cans, that's why I went for the I+. But sometimes I do wonder if I'm missing out, and the mk2 will deliver a more tubey sound without distorting grados. Has any tried both the I+ and mk2?

I find the original Yaxi pads to be veiled, and it was truly a night and day difference when I had them quarter-modded. Can't recommend this enough as they sounded really bland before being punctured.

Kind of odd with how only one channel is noisy though; this means one of the channels is not working as intended. But technically since it’s flawless with original tubes, I can’t really say it is broken. Shame tho, I really enjoyed the spacious soundstage of the c3gs.

Update about noise floor with C3gs. My C3g were noisier compared to my other tubes. Eventually I found out the static only comes out from one side. If I would to guess it may be the adapters at fault, will be ordering a new pair to see if it fixes the problem. My plan was to switch the left and...

Is it larger than Mk3/4? I always reckoned they are the same size. I'll take the heat into consideration. The balanced Mk6/8 do have fans installed in them, and MK9 is essentially half of the Mk6.

Wow, it looks even more impressive in your pics! IMO, although being a Chinese company, Little Dot is able to distinguish themselves from generic designs and develop their own aesthetic. Among their small amps, the MK9 is the most handsome one.

I’m using a HF2, which shares the same design with PS500s.

I do like my plastic gimbals though.They have serial numbers etched on them and I see them as a set with the cans. On a side note, I can’t decide if I should get a regular size or XL headband from Turbulent.

Speaking of flats, just how similar are they compared to S cushions in terms of thickness? You guys got me wondering ,and as of now I’m using quarter-modded Yaxi’s S pads. They sort of resemble the flat pads and I can always add tiny cuts around the hole but I doubt it will have any effect.

IIRC there's a post stating that the Pokemon editions aren't using SR80 drivers but better. From a few reviews from those who bought it the aluminum were more akin to 325. Some even compared them to GH3s. So If I were to guess, the descriptions on the web page is indeed inaccurate.

1000 is sometimes abbreviated to "k" in mandarin, so pske would mean ps1000e, and gs3k is gs3000...etc. ( guess it may have originated from the word kilo) Maybe the ifi zen dac will suit your needs, although your budget seems much higher.
