Agreed! Cymbal hits are crisp. Especially on Caldera - I notice it on other headphones too, but Caldera has that crystal clear peak into those realms and I love how natural they make things like cymbals sound. Interesting it's consistent against your Cayin. Aegis is definitely the lowest noise...

I've been listening to Aegis, WA23 and Envy a lot lately. @LOrdGwyn is sending me some killer NOS tubes to try with the Aegis, and right now I'm using the upgraded set Zach sent me recently. I'll eventually post a review of Aegis after I give the NOS tubes a nice while to take in their sound...

I think that'd look beautiful. Having something with doors gives the option for certain things to shine in a more minimalist way too, very cool.

One thing that I think hasn't been mentioned yet (unless I missed it) is that the wood options for Caldera Closed might have a similar impact as the Atrium Closed. What I'm hearing in my Ash demo unit reminds me of what I heard with my Walnut AC - a little airier, a little snappier, and higher...

It is! Aegis especially. 55lbs or something like that? The rack holding those amps isn't a custom thing - it's a Fitueyes Eiffel F07.

Nice! Just got WEs for the Envy a couple of weeks ago. The WA23 is pretty amazing. I'll write more after I listen more, but to me, the Aegis and WA23 sound more similar tonally than the Envy and Aegis, even with the Envy having WEs. The WA23 is pretty incredible in the midrange and flagship...

Working on it! Caldera Closed sounds great on all three, but it's amazing how different the amps are from each other. It makes me reallllly want to keep the Aegis, but there's no room!

Hanging out with the big boys this evening. I've been listening to the Caldera Closed a lot and comparing its qualities on these different tube amps. Tonight's magic is on the Envy!

It sounded great, but didn't quite give it the flavor that I was missing. I think it's in the midrange and the realism of the May that puts the Envy there for me. I was listening to a Bennie Maupin Quartet album (Early Reflections) and A/B/C-ing with the Envy, Woo WA23 and the ZMF/LOrdGwyn Aegis...

For me it's a toss up between the Suedes or the Thicks. Preferring Suedes again after giving the stocks a spin. I've yet to try the mantle mesh...

Oh, and I listen to jazz, acoustic guitar based things, pop rock, vocal oriented stuff and house EDM the most, I'd say.

Hey all - I recently got the WE300Bs. While they're sounding good, they're not quite as good in the midrange that I had hoped for. They weren't an obvious jump from the Full Musics either. I A/B-ed them recently with the Full Musics again and indeed, they're better, but not by much to my ears...

Oh man, I love it. It's a perfect match in my opinion. But I find the match with Envy most interesting because it's transformed it to something I really love now. WA23 seems less picky... sounds great with everything!

I've had the May in for a bit and it is exactly what I had hoped. I was beginning to lose hope - I've been trying DACs and didn't feel like anything was giving me what I was looking for. Interestingly, this thing has transformed the Feliks Envy amp for me. I was on the fence with selling it...
