I think it's not just the power the Vio is just a better amp with higher quality design and components.

Like my LCD-X (2021) with the Mojo 2, I find it has more dynamic slam than HE1000 SE, it sounds better for low dynamic range music (for example many old rock and heavy metal recordings), SE resolves more though and trumps the LCD-X in most parameters if the recording is good.

Just noticed (after couple of hours) I had plugged in the charger to the audio micro-usb port, can it potentially damage the Mojo 2 or there is some built in protection to mitigate such scenarios.

OTL tube amps are generally not good pairing with low impedence h/p like Focal and Audeze, better try hybrid tube amps or OTC (more expensive)

I have been listening to the LCD-X+Mojo2 quite a bit recently, my impression has changed!!! I increased the voume to green/cyan region, maybe my usual listening volume (orange/yellow) didnt bring out the dynamics that much, granted very rarely a slight bit treble hotness appear here and there...

Seeing couple of good impressions of SJY Horizon (one said it easily competes in the 2k range) so any comparison with Arya Stealth so far, both are near about same price.

I was just taking a shot in the wild :smiley:, I read some folks say the LCD-X works great with Mojo 2 but I am not able to experience that because of the reason above (both rocks with other gears though), so thought maybe it is because of the EQ setting, I was bit too hopeful I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Any EQ setting for Mojo 2 that works well with LCD-X, as it is I find the Mojo 2 bit lacking dynamics and attack with this h/p even compared to the much less powerful dongle RU6.

WaveTheory reviewed both the Tungstens, he said the HekSE is better overall except treble timbre which the DS version even beats the Susvara, one caveat is his best amp pairing with Tungsten is V281 which may not be the best out there with this h/p.

Headamp.com also give some good deals if you ask them, I got my V2 (OG) for 1599 when it was 1999.

I also found LCD-X to be much better with old rock albums especially low dynamic range album's like 80's Iron Maiden, both the HekV2 (OG) and SE lacked life and sounded anemic with these albums, for well recorded good dynamic range music though SE anytime.

Question from a tube inexperienced guy, I read the reviews that the higher priced Cayin amps like HA300mk2 and HA-6A are more thick and warm sounding while 3A is more thin and neutral in comparison, so will these tube upgrades brings its sound closer to the higher tier Cayins.

Any impression of the sound so far with HD-600 / 6XX compared to TA-26(S).

SE also has better soundstage depth and instument seperation than V2 (OG).
