Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
I love what my Mscaler does for my dacs and TT2, but isn't it what they always do when they make something new ;-). If it wasn't a better product why bother hahaha. But I get what you mean ;-)- jjazzy

Thing I don’t get what the rest of the companies are doing, I tried all of the other brands, like fiio, ibass, shanling, even their flagships, all of them have a weird sound to them. To much bass emphasis, or to dark muffled sounding etc… Astell and kern, or a hugo2, chord mojo2 that kind of...- jjazzy

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Even the shop where I buy my stuff said the same thing, susvara not the best match with the tt2, a burson soloist gt is already better sounding. Susvara is kind of power hungry it seems. A hifiman 1000 is a better option- jjazzy

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
You’re missing the point, I compared the A8 with the Lumin U2 (not the mini, but it’s bigger brother) and the Innuos MK3, and they were near sounding the same. The extra’s in the A8 I just see as a nice bonus. The only one that sounded digital just a little better was the hifi rose rs150 ( which...- jjazzy

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
If you want a good deal, I audited quite the share of streamers untill I ended at a Eversolo A8 (A6's are okay but not on the same level), that could easily play on level of 3/4000 euro streamers I couldn't be happier. I negotiated and got the A8 for 1600 euro new. (My opinion, software/app...- jjazzy

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
it is not a awfull streamer, just it makes quite the big difference if you use a higher quality streamer (but that does not come cheap, but neither is a tt2 or mscaler It is more that it is a shame if you don't use something better than a zen stream, when you already in that league of high end...- jjazzy

Burson Soloist 3X Grand Tourer Head Amp/Pre Amp w/Sub out - 10W XLR
Why don’t you order all sets classics en vivids, and try a combination, and only keep which you like? Sent the rest back. I just tried one pair of vivid v7 classics in the input buffer stage which was quite nice together with the vivid v6’s in the rx gt.- jjazzy

Get a any astell and kern with akm chipset, and the u12t shines (just listen to them af the shop the other day). With sabre I thought the match was less.- jjazzy

Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread
It is a hard decision. The qutest definately benefits the mscaler, and it get’s at some regards (not all) better than the tt2 (but with the qutest you need a decent headphone amp too) The headphone amp in the tt2 is amazing Now when you at the mscaler to a tt2, it is heaven, I like it even more...- jjazzy

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
For it’s money the zen stream is a bargain, but no match for a lumin, eversolo a8, hifi rose or innuos. I own the zen stream as well, but even with a upgrade psu, no match for the higher top streamers I use now- jjazzy

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
The difference is huge a decent streamer with the tt2. When I bought the tt2+mscaler combination, I was very dissapointed at home, thinking oh crap I made a very very stupid expensive mistake. But in the shop it was connected to a hifi rose rs250. I was using a zen stream, and bluesound node. I...- jjazzy

DAC Roundup: Geshelli Dayzee, Denafrips Ares 12th, Chord Qutest, Topping E70 Velvet
I actually was using my music less and less and less, their was always something that annoyed me, untill I got the chord tt2+mscaler. Before I was using the qutest together with HQplayer and upgrade LPS. Which was fine for desktop use, not for hifi/speaker set use. There is only one...- jjazzy

Thanks for the info👍🏼 I was starting to get get interested, because I read somewhere they are the better alternative for the shure se846, owning those, made me curious about them now. Could someone help me out with a curious question.? I read so many mixed comments about the u12t, so get confused what to believe? Is the u12t really that good or really that bad? don’t confuse higher frequencies with a bigger stage, I was like that too. just tried my arya on my macbook air m2 just for the fun of it. To give an example. But using the chord tt2+mscaler for quite some time, I can’t go back. I used the burson 3xrgt + super charger, and sure hell is not...- jjazzy
