has anyone compared the suede Vs the Lamb caldera ultraP pads? anything that stand out between those two on the VO? Specially Bass and voice thickness!

Can anyone comment on the SQ quality of the R7 vs R9 from their Digital outputs(SPDIF/USB)? Do they use the same Oscillators? Is the R9 worth the upgrade if using it as a digital transport only?

VC is not a warm headphone , but the stock cable makes it sound warm. Once you try a better cable you will be surprised of the additional detail you’ll get. Same for usb and rca cables if you’re using cheap ones.

Suede Uni for me also. The thinner pads shows more dynamics as they are closer to ears but they loose on stage. The solution is to just use a higher volume with the uni suede.

If you’re in Europe, the EAR HP4 is end game. No one mentioned it , but that lower priced Mytek liberty thx amp is as good as the v550. Another endgame universal tube amp is the LTA MZ3 but not from Europe.
