Fiio BTR7 or Ifi go Blu DAC. Deciding which one to go for.
I went for the BTR7 and loving it. I was intrigued by the ifi gryphon and also ordered it but returned it as I found it too clunky and most of all no customisable EQ like the BTR7. The customisable EQ is one of the best things I like about the BTR7 which swayed me away from the IFI GoBlu. I have...- sunster77

Upgrade from Fiio BTR7 to IFI XDSD Gryphon worth it ?
Noted. Thanks for the inputs. I guess I’ll stick with my BTR7 for now. I also don’t see 3X the benefits with that price for the Gryphon.- sunster77

Just got myself a Fiio FD3 Pro today and used it with a Tripowin Petrichor Upgrade cable in 4.4mm balanced connected to the BTR7. Whoaaa...what a massive and lush sound. Everything sounds in the face, clear and punchy. Like it a lot. Expecting my Sennheiser ie200 to arrive this weekend and will...- sunster77

Final Audio E4000 or E5000 with Tripowin Jelly Balanced MMX 4.4mm Cables
What would be a better iem to buy. The Final Audio E4000 or the E5000. Will use it with a Fiio BTR7 and spotify, FLAC etc. Will the Tripowin Jelly cable with 4.4mm be a good upgrade to use with the BTR7 ? There is a considerable price difference between the 2 iems. Does the E5000 justify almost...- sunster77

Thanks for the inputs. I am planning to buy the FINAL E5000 iems and upgrade the cable to a 4.4mm balanced one. Any recommended options for cables ? 4.4mm Balanced cable or 3.5mm to 4.4mm adapter ?
I recently bought a Fiio BTR7 and use mostly iems with it on the 3.5mm input (Venture Electronics BIE) mainly bass heavy iems for EDM and HIP HOP and occasional pop. Want to experience the power and benefits of the balanced 4.4mm inputs. So is it better to get new iems with a fixed 4.4mm cable...- sunster77

Fiio BTR7 or Ifi go Blu DAC. Deciding which one to go for.
Thanks for the extensive feedback. I just received my BTR7 today and am loving it. It’s super powerful and serves my needs just fine. It will be a keeper. Somehow I prefer the volume control on Fiio better than the rotary one on the go Blu. Size wise the go Blu is cute and also sounds amazing...- sunster77

Just ordered the Fiio BTR7 after checking a lot of reviews and articles. I guess it was the right decision and will future proof me for a few months...if not years ;) Till the upgrade bug bites again ;)- sunster77
