Generally foam tips dampen the treble the most. I would recommend trying Comply tips if our stock foam tips don't do the trick for you. I particularly like the oval Comply tips for some of our treblier models.- mattv

As far as I know (or remember) our older cables that used the angled termination always had a black barrel. I believe that the previous owner of that U6t changed the termination, but I could be wrong.- mattv

Using a low impedance source would not make you "immune" to LID. It's really more the opposite. LID makes you immune to change in frequency response caused by high impedance sources. So if you are using an ultra low impedance chain then you would not notice any difference between an IEM with LID...- mattv

I believe what you're asking for would fall under the category of deep cleaning, which is available here for $75. That includes cleaning and diagnostic testing. If there is an issue that requires a repair our team will let you know and you can decide if you would like to pay for that or not.- mattv

We really don't recommend that you do that. If they need to be changed you can send it in for cleaning, but they need to stay there to protect the Tia driver.- mattv

No. The drive level is only one factor, but there are a lot of other factors at play as well. Again, the driver count is only one factor. The Trio and Fourte are priced higher for other reasons.- mattv

In the case of our CIEM's generally more drivers means more headroom and better power handling. Essentially by stacking multiples of the same drivers that are covering the same frequency range you can get more volume out of those drivers without working them as hard, which results in lower...- mattv

Thanks, PixelSquish, I hope you know that this kind of feedback means a lot to us here at 64 Audio. We make the IEM's that we want to listen to, and it always feels good to hear that you love them as much as we do.- mattv

We have not lowered the price on the U12t, it launched at $1,999 back in 2017 https://www.head-fi.org/threads/the-official-64-audio-thread-apex-tia-technologies.826606/post-13863610- mattv

Yes, the cable can potentially damage the IEMs. Particularly if you try to fully insert them, the pins can puncture or crack the socket housing which will cause the IEM to leak and potentially allow the socket pins themselves to fall into the IEM which would require repair. We strongly recommend...- mattv

You said you've already sent them in for repair? Was that for the same issue? It is absolutely possible that there is something wrong with the IEM's, so I would suggest that you email support@64audio.com and open up a new ticket. Fit can be part of an issue like that, particularly regarding the...- mattv

If you like the Volür, I'd recommend (similarly to others in this thread) U12t, Fourte and Trio. There are some things about the design of the Fourte that are very unique to the Fourte itself. Some of the tech from the Fourte essentially trickled down into the Trio, and then further down into...- mattv

This. I've soldered those 4.4mm plugs and they can be pretty fiddly. It wouldn't take a huge mistake to create a potential short between left and right. It would even be possible for the cable to test good when soldered and then short later due to stress.- mattv

I would recommend that you contact support@64audio.com. Yes, the 0.78mm 2 pin version of the UTWS5s should fit our universals. For CIEMs the sockets are designed for 0.75mm 2 pin connectors, so it may damage the socket or cause it to loosen, we don't recommend it.- mattv

I can confirm that Fourte is in fact fully tubeless, as well as Trio. Both each have a tube to direct air pressure from the back vent of the DD out of the shell, but between the front of each driver and the canal spout there are no tubes involved.- mattv
