Comment by 'Nayyte' on listing 'Headamp GS-X mk2 Brand New'
Taking it out of the box, turning it on for a photo, confirming its operation; all things that will only help you sell it. New in box means very little especially with no branding. As far as anyone knows, this is a $2400 moving box. I'm not quite sure how someone hasn't taken this listing...- Nayyte

Pseudo tube hybrid sound from that then! Very cool. If I recall, some people said that the Mentor needs like 200 hours to break in. I would have one already if it only had pre outs.- Nayyte

The (Un)Official Amp Thread For ZMF Headphones
Don't sleep on anything from Audio-GD. For R2R, their R-1 NOS is far and away better than any chip based DAC under $1000 or even $2000. For the amp, my understanding is that the Atrium is on the warm side, so SS could be better for you if you don't want any more warmth. R2R DAC + SS easily leans...- Nayyte

Adcom GDA-700 DAC - Updating to modern parts, advice!
Yesterday I received a great condition Adcom GDA-700 DAC. My first experience with the PCM1702 chip, I like it! I have a Audio-GD R-1 NOS already and while it is pretty amazing, I've never felt like I completely vibed with it, mainly because the sound stage is so very in my face all the time...- Nayyte

Audio-GD Master 9
Is there merit to my concern of there being different types of relays used for the volume control, black vs white relays? Me personally I'm staying away from this new model. The front panel looks way to congested. Plus I'm a fan of the master 19's symmetry. The similarities between the new...- Nayyte

ZMF Pendant by Ampsandsound; impressions, tube-rolling, and general discussions
I have been using the Audio-GD R-1 NOS for 8 months and its been a great time. It takes a lot of burn in time but the performance is really superb for the price. Honestly you have picked a lot of respectable DAC's. I don't see how you could go wrong with any of them especially if you buy used.- Nayyte

New Audio-gd R-7, R-7HE R-8, R-27, R-27HE, R-28 Flagship Resistor Ladder DACs and DAC/amps
Great, I agree the NOS of R1N is really spectacular. I don't like dismissing other DAC's because I simply haven't heard them. I want to try the new schiit gungnir 2 coming this summer, we'll see. I'm to the point where getting an AIO is very ideal. Would love to have a rack full of AGD gear but...- Nayyte

New Audio-gd R-7, R-7HE R-8, R-27, R-27HE, R-28 Flagship Resistor Ladder DACs and DAC/amps
Hey folks, looking to move up from the R-1 NOS and am looking at the R-27RE, R-27mk2. To me the R1N is staging a little too front and center. Almost all my music sounds like the vocals are coming from the middle of my face. This is probably mostly due to the head phone. But could it mostly be...- Nayyte

ZMF Auteur Thread
New BBB strap and new pads acquired for my Auteur OG. First impressions are pretty great! The triple B strap is like night and day, much more supportive than my old OG strap. I went with the Auteur Perf Hybrids pads, don't regret it at all so far. Bass and low mids have much more space in...- Nayyte

Beyerdynamic T5 (3rd Generation)
I have heard the d5200 but not the d7200. I'd imagine the differences are only in the sound since the construction is similar throughout all the denons. T1.3 will have much more defined soundstage and refinement. The Denon is probably still good but the biocell drivers have totally different...- Nayyte

Audio-gd R2R DAC Thread
You make a good point. I'm not sure if it's totally the cause of my uncertainty, but driving the R-1 better will probably lead to better results. I have to knock down the windows volume to 30% to get into the listenable range with my tube amp. With my CD transport, all I can use is a few...- Nayyte

Audio-gd R2R DAC Thread
Anyone here heard the Metrum Menuet DAC that could share some impressions vs Audio-GD's NOS design? My R-1 is amazing, but the brain burn in is well into effect and I feel like it's a bit too enthusiastic of a sound.- Nayyte

Audio-GD Master 9
Guys I require advice. Which should I go for? Used master 9 from 2019, before the revision. Good condition $750 New master 19 <$1000 with shipping I like that the master 19 would be new with new features like the updated screen, etc. But the "old" master 9 could sound better, idk. ACSS...- Nayyte

Audio-GD Master 9
I know that @OCC7N recommending everyone on here purchase a bunch of crazy crap for their chain CAN be slightly annoying, but there's no need to be rude. What he says does make a lot of sense and his last response is no exception. When you upgrade your AMP, everything before it in the chain...- Nayyte
