This is true. For me ibasso dx 320 and Qobuzz are the best sounding. Even the 192 flac and dsd sound good.tidal and Spotify Dont sound upto the mark

The black lower has been very difficult for me to digest because of the enhanced bass. Maybe I will try it again later. I am currently trying the Golden Lower + Blue Top. The extra sibilance seems to suit me fine.

I'm trying out he Golden lower filter with the blue upper. Does anyone know what's with the white foam in the gold lower ? And why is it the only lower with the foam ? The Gold lower seems to muffle the treble as well Over all Gold + Blue sounds good. Also Seraph Gold lower has the foam but...

This has been a mystery for me. Eros s + Ares + code 23was 2 pin and fit quite nicely with imr. However Thieaudio cable did not fit at all. So I don't know which works and what doesn't anymore !

I agree that Enigma performs better with better sources. I use an ibasso dx320 and Qobuzz . these seem to bring out very good sound from the Enigma.

Try Black bottom and gold upper with pure copper cable and softears tips for the Seraph. I don't get any sibilance with this combination any more. And Seraph sounds pretty good with this combo for sure.

Enigma+ presentation of classical music is really fantastic. Specially the violin. V16 even with all its separation sounds a little plain. But I'm going to have to test some orchestral stuff on both v16 and Enigma.

Switched to black lowers on the Enigma+. The bass and sub bass levels are just insane. Feels like bass has increased considerably after some burn in. Used to find the bass slightly bloated before but it seems better now

Yes this track is slightly sibilant on Enigma+. Try the Qobuzz version it is less sibilant. But then I expect mj s high pitch to be slightly sibilant.

In my case, Enigma+ and Thie Audio V16 are both comparable. Overall /bass / musicality Enigma+ has an edge , but in terms of detail and separation v16 wins. I dont think ill need to buy anything for a while. I'd like a nice cable for the Enigma though How does the fibae 7 compare with Enigma+ ?

I You are completely right. Eros s also introduces sibilance in Enigma +. Code 23 has no sibilance.

Considering the quality of the v16 , I feel the Enigma+ at 2000 GBP or 1400 GBP is overpriced. 1000-1100 usd used is what I'd pay now for Enigma+ max Not sure if an even better cable helps Enigma+ . But as it stands today v16 and Enigma+ are in the same league . It's only a matter of preference.

Treble was initially very sibilant specially with eros s and azla. Sibilance is less with code 23 but loses some detail and energy. After some burnin , tangzu wide bore and software tips sounds good. Still some sibilance but looks like i like some sibilance. Anything below the blue top...

In my case the treble definitely became smoother after burn in and the bass just went out of control. Don't know why the bass increased that much. So I currently use the grey/red lower + blue upper with softears tips and eros s. For me the Black / Blue lower sounds bloated and completely off...
