Very helpful review. The EC Mini has revived my love of CD’s. As someone who is no hardcore audiophile, the EC Mini is serving adequately as the center of my desk setup in my office/man cave.

Don’t buy the EC Mini with the intention of carrying it around like your 90’s Sony CD Walkman. It’s best for carrying from room to room, rather than from home to work.

No there isn’t. I use EAC and a paid for external cd information service. It cost me like £7 or something.

In my opinion, it’s transportable but not portable. You can carry it in a rucksack to the office. However, you cannot use it while you are commuting.
