Lance is absolutely correct, at this price point the Vali 3 is the audio deal of the year. Too soon yet to say deal of the decade, we’ll see I suppose.

Karen Carpenter, I love her voice and still miss her! Also Radka Toneff, so different yet so sublime. Both died stupidly.

I have the Bluesound Vault 2 and am very happy with it, I’m also feeding it to a Scott tube amp (a model 272 amp). I have about 2,000 cd’s loaded so far and am super thrilled with the quality of the recordings and how they sound.

I was using the GE 5670 - 5 star in my Vali 3 with nice results, and just tried a Russian 6H3N-E five minutes ago…..got like 5 of them for $32 including shipping from ebay a month or so ago. Very surprised with the results. Right off the bat a bit sharper and richer in the treble and the bass...

I would have thought that 6S7GT would draw either too much current or voltage that it would burn out the Vali 3?

I know, with all these posts, I wound up with over 20 mostly different tubes, at roughly 5,000 hours per tube I have to live at least to 136 years, but I also listen to my Cornscala’s too!

I truly don’t know yet as I really prefer to put some hours on each tube ( burning in ) before evaluating. I will let you know.

I’m ashamed to say at this late date I’m just starting to get into tube rolling, but with this Schiit Vali 3 amp I just find this fascinating!

I just ordered four 6N3P-EV Russian tubes from Ukraine for $23 including shipping (Go Ukraine!) so in 3 to 4 weeks I’ll let you know how they sound. Hope they sound great, the EV means extended range, or a step above the regular 6N3P.
