T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
I have found the joint that rotates the right earcup has gotten loser than it's left counterpart. Now the clamping force of the headband is translated stronger on the right earcup, making it rotate towards the back of my head and losing seal on the front. Anyone have a similar experience?- me7

T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
How do the ST fare regarding latency when playing games? I expect negative responses due to the lack of low-latency codecs, but I'd like to know for sure. I'm deliberately not looking for a gaming headset. I want something that works for music, films and games.- me7

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I vouched for the Spinfit before I had the TW wireless adapters. I had impedance mismatches and the Spinfit provided a sound signature that was closer to natural. But with the TW adapters, I went back to the large black foams. With proper impedance, they work best for me.- me7

Sennheiser HD820
Hi, I'm considering the HD820 as my first high quality full-sized headphones. I need them for computer and game console audio, so I intend to pair them with my Marantz 1506 receiver that supports multiple inputs and HDMI passthrough. Should I expect audio issues with the headphone jack of such a...- me7

I assume that the TW2 has a lot more storage for software on the earpieces. If you want the features to work with any source device and player app (not just IOS/Android with Shure Play app), they must be implemented on the earpieces themselves. It is possible, that the TW1 can't handle it.- me7

It seems that when Shure releases an update for the Play app, they bundle the most recent TW1 firmware with it. The app doesn't download new firmwares dynamically. We'll need to wait for the next app update.- me7

I only drained them fully once so far, but the battery level was indeed incorrect. It depleted slowly from 100 to 40, and then dropped towards 0 quickly.- me7

Yes, the right earpiece discharges faster. It handles the communication with your phone and passes data to the left earpiece. The left earpiece just receives data from the right. It has less work to do.- me7

My TW1 have the firmware version 7.9.4.0 according to the Shure PLAY smartphone app and don't support aptx hd. The app says that no firmware update is available. What firmware version do yours have?- me7

The BT2's aptX hd coded is superior to the TW1's plain aptX. But electrically, the TW1 is superior to the BT2. The sound is overall better by a sizable margin. I don't want to plug my 846 into the BT2 again.- me7

I don't think the options do any audio processing. I suspect they adjust the output impedance, which affects the frequency response, which affects the perceived volume. All I need now is a simple small case, for when I don't need the big charging Shure case.- me7

The 846. The other settings I tried sounded to boomy, like an impedance mismatch. The BT1 only supported SBC. That alone made the product oxymoronic.- me7

My opinion is that the TW1 (with the proper setting) drives the 846 better than the BT2 did. The low end is less boomy, base guitar notes are easier to pick up amid thundering drums. Could be that the BT2's impedece wasn't perfect for the 846. The biggest game changer for me however is the...- me7

Another limitation to be aware of as an audiophile are the supported codecs. Shure dropped support for aptX HD compared to the BT2. The TW1 support SBC, aptX and AAC. My Android phone connects to my car using AAC, but for some reason it refuses to do so with the TW1 and uses aptX instead. My BT2...- me7
