now that there is a bit of attention on this thread can i just ask any V222 owners ........ have any of you compared to the Jot2? this was mentioned way back in this thread but there were barely any opinions, only really about price.

considering a new V222, would love this instead but alas just out of budget for me. beast of an amp. seen some grubby ones but this does look brand new.

not really relavent to your post but i notice you have 2 amps that i am considering to replace my Phonitor SE. the Jot2 and Violectric V222. big difference in price i know, but is the V222 that much better? any thoughts would be appreciated, including everyone of course

still considering this amp, but it wont be used with the Qutest as i have sold it now. i tested myself , by buying a cheap used Topping dac (E30) to compare with my Qutest, as i had suspiscions!! i literally could not tell them apart, so could not justify keeping the Qutest. had wondered about...

thomann do have uk site as well as DE. so i expect stock is held in UK also

its a total pain in the backside. i believe a way around it is to use a balanced cable with an adapter to single ended, and leave the adapter plugged into the amp. still a pain though

had switch boxes in the past as i thought it was the right thing to do. i think there is more chance of having contact issues with a switch box, this cant happen with a splitter. now i use a cable splitter.

i have recently had similar happen twice. luckily through the tracking , each time i managed to get contact details for hmrc. each time, i was able to settle the charges over the phone, without the reference numbers that hmrc are "supposed" to send out (but had not)! its a poor system.
