KEF M500/M200 Impressions Thread
I note that you opted not to go with KEF, but in the interest of accuracy, the pads are definitely user replaceable. KEF actually sent me a free pair of replacements a year ago, when they showed them out of stock on the website.- zyzyx

I've broken the plugs on a couple of pairs while using them in the gym. Probably my fault but the metal did seem fairly fragile in comparison to the other IEMs I use in the gym.- zyzyx

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
You probably didn't intend it, but it's a little depressing that you wrote "finally" to describe the fate of an item that didn't even last a year. GR07s just don't have the best build quality. That said, perhaps you have warranty coverage. I've had luck on that, even with unauthorized vendors.- zyzyx

Incredibly comfortable for on-ears. Of course, the flip side is that the fit isn't super tight as with HD-25s etc but it's more than sufficient for my needs.- zyzyx

So one of the pads on my M500s has a fairly significant tear along the side seam. Replacement pads out of stock on official website. Anyone know of any other sources for pads? Pretty unlikely, I imagine :(- zyzyx

Vsonic GR07 MK 2 - Authorized dealer?
Edit - you need to be very persistent to get a replacement set from GateShop. It eventually happened for me, but it took countless emails and over 6 weeks.- zyzyx

32 Ohm impedance and 103 dB sensitivity. The "governor" on the volume - i.e. the compliance with the European noise standards (CENELEC) - might explain things.- zyzyx

I'll assume that you're referring to the original, "over-ear" Momentums. I'm sure someone else will come along and give you a more detailed comparison - and / or perhaps completely disagree with my take - but the two big distinctions are that (1) the Momentums have a fair amount of mid-bass (and...- zyzyx

best headphones for nuforce udac3
It's a little unusual to start with a DAC / amplifier and work back from that, so it makes it a little hard for people to know what you really want. Are you looking for a fairly neutral sound? What sort of music do you listen to? What's your budget? Are you ok with open headphones, or do...- zyzyx

Nah, I think I'll stay outside and enjoy the beautiful day :) Not trying to upset the applecart or anything but this poor guy has been waiting 20 days for his headphones and I'd much rather show my support to a member of this community than worry about the seller's feelings. As I stated...- zyzyx

Sorry to hear that. Of course that tracking number story he gave you is a lie. He may well have taken more orders than he could fill, and he's delaying until he gets his hands on more refurbs or whatnot. Don't mean to be a broken record but just file a report with eBay and he'll find some stock...- zyzyx

KRK 8400 - burn in?
I don't think burn in will make any appreciable changes. I have a 6400, with 8400 memory pads, and it's definitely a subdued, neutral phone that needs a little more power than the specs would seem to suggest. It tends to be a little grainy sounding at lower volumes, too. It's a decent...- zyzyx

Well when I wrote that he was a "tad defensive" it was because in reply, he stated that he'd sent them already and that if I received the first pair I should send them back to him. Yeah...right.
