Very nice detailed review! Excellent and not even for a first one. Seems like we have pretty similar music tastes. Will be looking out for your future reviews!

Holy crap! Great review! The FLC8 is truly an incredible enigma of an IEM. Worth every penny to be honest; you can pay a lot more and get less.

I have been eyeing these for some time now. (well ever since LjokerL reviewed them back in April LOL) They're certainly on my short list. Very nice review!

Nice review and I'm surprised the FLC8s has not fixed the cable issues although it is been replaced with the braided one.

I had the FLC8 in the past but returned it within 2 weeks because the cable is springy (or bouncy) and stiff. They refuse to loop over the ear and I got an ear sore just from trying to make the cable rests on top my ears.

Looking forward to hear a review on FLC9 with a cable as supple as DN-2000 or Piston's mk II or JVC's FXT90 and FXD80z.

@Gandasaputra The memory wire actually kind of helps in that aspect, but the cables are really light so they don't stay over the ears very well. I personally don't find it a huge problem (since I can get aftermarket cables anyway), but I do agree that the cables should be less bouncy.

I found the sound quality too good to pass on though.

Your review was very very good!

It made me interested in hearing these at some point, as they seem a very good quality for the price, and they seem to be over-looked by most people.

Too bad they are not very bright, as I am really looking forward for very bright sound!

@Dobrescu George Thanks for the praise!

They can be pretty bright actually with the green nozzles, but I wouldn't call them "very bright"... I do think it'll satisfy most fans of a bright, prominent treble though.

Oh man, I love/hate this site. In January I'm hoping to have enough spending cash to buy ONE amplifier for my HE-500s *or* a new pair of IEMs. I was already struggling to choose between the Project Ember II or another new IEM whose name I cannot recall at the moment, but which allows for 8 distinct tunings. Now I had to go and read this gem off a review, and |joker|'s.

I'm so sorry, Wallet. So very, very sorry . . .

Red-grey-gold is my preferred combination, too. Have been grooving on these for a while and they're my go-to at the moment. Thanks for a thorough review.

Awesome review @SerenaxD! Thanks for bringing well-deserved attention to Forrest's masterpiece. As with @hakushondaimao, these quickly became my go-to IEM.

Great review, and great IEM.  I know the original, non-S version and am looking forward to comparing it to this upgraded S version.  The cable of the original is easily swappable, and it`s standard 2-pin so you have a million options (assuming it`s the same socket on the S).  The FLC8 can also be worn hanging down easily if you don`t want the over-ear route.
