Great review. I enjoy mine for the same reason that it engages me into the music I am listening.

Great review. I listen to mine through my Questyle QPIR and it's a fantastic pairing. It can be a lethal combination though as sometimes as the minuets can turn into hours very quickly.

Found them boring at first - but eventually fell in love with them. Really an amazing headphone for the price and even when not looking at the price.

I totally aggree with your comments. PM-3 and Mojo is my nomade setup.
For a new buyer, i would advice:
To realize the full potential of a PM-3, it should be used a hundred hours and then connect it to a Chord Hugo TT or Dave. You will be very amazed.

Great, concise review! Any comparison to the Mad or Alpha Dogs?

These headphones are for listening to MUSIC, not so much for enjoying audio :D
They have pushed me away a bit from analytical critical IEM listening back to simply enjoying music again...For that I am very happy to have and enjoy these headphones :)

It's good to hear the PM3 maintains the same level of... "cohesion" I heard with the PM2

I found them to be SUPER boring, but VERY very cohesive, some people will really like that! I still prefer having one headphone for movies an three others for different genres of music "exciting" is a sound quality I like well Dynamic I like

either way, well written review

Thanks again, everyone!
@nosch455 I'd LOVE to do a comparison...that's one of the main reasons I haven't pulled the trigger on these yet. I wish I could spend more quality time the the Mr Speakers as well as ZMF.Then I can tell if its worth the premium over the NAD or PSB... I'm STILL bummed that the Oppo ear pads aren't user replaceable.

and for the record, the Mojo is at the top of my (portable) list!

@jon parker @Mshenay
That is the crux of it, isn't it? As I said, I've read so many reviews that say these are boring. I think they're just...different than many are used to. I've always seemed to lean more toward exciting/dynamic too (zip in the treble...) but I'm finding a place in my heart for the more holistic(?) sound signatures, too.

My couple of weeks with PM-3 aligns with your fine review. I'm loving the sound, although clearly different from Senn Momentum on ear (not as U shaped), or NAD Viso (treble clarity of Oppo is better and bass is more tight). Sort of a closed back version of the AKG QJ 701 sound in terms of a smooth balanced frequency response. But the bass is more authoritative, I'm guessing due to PM and closed back. When walking I'm using SB E5. Have my eye on Oppo HA-2. (I def want Apple device alignment. )

Thank you for the thorough review jinxy245. I've had my eye on these cans for some time now and wondering how they compare to headphones like Audio Technica ATH-M70X, too bad I've no way of trying them before making the investment. I am seriously considering buying them though, the sound signature seems interesting as well as its design.

@AmplicificThat would be an interesting comparison, too (ATH-M70X)...I haven't heard them myself. I'm also VERY curious what the new Audeze Sine is going to bring to the table... same price range closed back planar...a good time to be into headphones for sure.

Nice review. But I'm totally disappointed at these headphones. On my ears they plan flat and without life. And they are waaay overpriced.
ATH-M50x for fraction their price are IMHO much better.
