great headphones

Any chance you will try it with the after market filter? Made all the difference for me. So 4 wpc - basically similar to a HFM HE-6 to drive?

Sold my pair as I didn’t want to upgrade to the apparently much better cable that supposedly makes all the difference. Great headphones nevertheless.

I had this with Jot R and imaging and separation was excellent in my opinion. Also soundstage did not feel that big to me, okay I had ADX5000 and Elite to compare
Tried COD with these and sound directions were easy to follow.
Standard cable, Jot R + V850 Dac, cut pads.

so it maybe a case of the transformer. I tried with a bunch of amp and don't seem to get any better separation. Or maybe my expectation is too high? Haha

@bagwell359 You mean the software filters? Maybe I'll try it one day haha. I think in terms of absolute power, it will need more than HE6.

Did the bass improve noteably with the closed pads?

It has more quantity but quite boomy I feel

I felt the same, it did increase bass but sounded worse. And I did not like the transformer coupled with my V222, it sounded congested. V222 i think is not an ideal pair for these, even tough it does have enough power.
