Okay, to tease:

1. Don't think "DAC." Think, "DACs."
2. Think, entry-level to start. Think summer.
3. Think, even our reference stuff will start in 3-digit pricing.
4. Think, balanced.
5. Consider future-proof, and what that means in the context of USB.
6. Also consider there will be other inputs.
7. Think discrete.
8. Finally, consider Mike's history, his filters/jitter reduction/interface innovation/etc . . .

Enough teasing?

I know what I'm waiting for now! Hella yeh. :)

Heat rises.
Doubt it would be a concern for the StageDac. (as in the photo)

I run my Asgard sitting directly on top of the MH 25.2 DAC and even after running all day long, the metal case of the MH is barely warm to the touch directly under the hottest part of the Asgard.  Not an issue in the least.

Thanks a ton for the info. Unfortunatly for Audio-GD I am going to be holding off my purchase of a NFB-2, or NRB-1. I hadn't made up my mind yet, but I suppose now I don't have to. With the V-DAC coming in, I can easily hold off for your top tier bad boy.

OT, but Kingwa vs. Mike in a DAC design fight? I foresee that being epic.

Can you elaborate on the last point for those of us who don't really know anything about Mike and his past work?

From their website "Mike Moffat, formerly of Theta", that should be a pretty good hint at least.

Hi Jason,

Thanks so much for your bit of sharing on the DAC plans. I'm begging you for just one more bone... will any of the DACs have a remote control for at least volume?

Thanks So Much!

Hey all,

Quick update on Lyr's second run: We'll be shipping early! On Friday, we'll start shipping backorders and will clear all of them up until about March 5. The remainder of the backorders will ship next week, and then we'll (finally) be in a stocking position. At least for a while.

I'll also be out of the country from March 29-April 11, with spotty availability. Expect that I'll be responding to email, but probably not with the alacrity you've seen in the past. In the meantime, Mike and his capable partner Fred will be taking over shipping and answering pressing technical questions or issues--fred@schiit.com.

I come back to this thread after a couple days and get bombarded with great news! Can't wait to get my grubby hands on the Lyr! Not to mention some teasing information in regards to the DAC's!
