My 901's firmware issues finally came to a head when it decided to brick itself. The logo is the only thing I see, forever....

Yes. Took out battery, pressed the little button... nothing worked. Then I redownloaded firmware and it's okay again.

Just taken delivery of my HIFIMAN HM901 - Screen hangs !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Switched it on and it stays locked on the first screen or just hangs there ?
But then I read this post and updated the firmware and it works great -
I run the IEM card as the balanced card has been withdrawn ?
Has anyone else bought one ? and found it to be faulty then reset it ?

Why would the balanced card be withdrawn? I got my 901 and balanced card last week and both work great.

Thinking of returning mine, there is just one problem after another, with resetting, charging, battery, firmware. Now today the wheel just fell right off. If only it actually worked

Same thing Happened to me. Contact Summer C. Yin <summeryin@hifiman.com>. I had to send them my unit with Standard amp card and they are returning a new unit with IEM card.

It's a great piece of kit but to buggy I got mine from the USA and live in the UK so had to pay £98 customs so if I send it back
I lose that money I am going to keep it in the hope they up date the firmware.
Why did they release such a great DAP that full of bugs ?

The had a faulty batch I think my came with the IEM card - which cost more but was just swapped over.

Looking into the Moon Audio Silver Dragon V3 cable for my Senheiser HD650 through the Balanced card HM901,
$350 with shipping! Holy Moly! Could that kind of money really be a worthy investment just for a cable???
Surely the sound couldn't be $350 better with the Moon Audio cable???

Is this a headphone cable or an interconnect? Surely Drew isn't charging $350 for just a small interconnect.
