Okay I think I prefer my GR07 for now.. The forward mid is something that I can't seem to give up and  the FXZ200 balanced presentation is kinda hard getting used to. I feel the vocal is distant and cold. Need more burn in and maybe better tips since NONE of the stock tips fit for me.

Any of you guys can recommend me tips to use? I own the T-400 complys for my GR07 and those do not work for the FXZ200s the nozzle is just a bit wider.

His problem is seal. He might have a huge surprise with the right tips. I'm pretty sure the 200 are out of this world amazing and haven't heard them yet. But will do when I get a new pair next month ; )

The Senn double-flanges work the best for me with the 100s. The vocals are quite forward with the rest of the sound spectrum being balanced. Head-fi is interesting. One month there's a push to have music sound neutral and/or balanced in IEMs, and then the next month the balanced sound is boring. Go figure? lol

I must not be hearing it, or my set is faulty...what pounding bass drum?

In the middle of the song (well really toward the end during the sing-along). Yes, either yours or faulty or you don't have a good seal with them (I'm going to guess the latter). These JVCs are interesting in that you can make them bass-lite if you are wearing them in a shallow way, but you get the proper semi-deep seal and that bass (pounding) comes out.

I think rather than headfi, everyone has their own signature but reading reviews they try to match their signature to the headphone. After trying/owning easily over 50 headphones I came to the realization that what other ppl say doesn't matter. If I found something I like but others don't, oh well. I like my 200s,i like my hd650. That's that. Now sources/amps are a different story.

Haha its sort of how I feel. Went neutral with RE0's, now I love my new U-shaped EPH-100s.
