Hello there,
My SP500's, just over a year old and with minimal use, and nothing in a high db range, have begun to have distortion in the left speaker - and at times the left speaker will stop working all together, fixed by a light tap. The tap does not fix the slight distortion however.

Do you know what the issue might be?
Are the speakers replaceable?
Is there anyone who does this sort of work?

Thank you for your time, ideas, and experience.

I would drop them an email, I had the same thing happen to my SR125's, although I believe on of my DIY amps may have spiked or DC offset got a little high (cant be poisitve). Mine is worst at lower frequencies, so I contacted them and they will repair mine for $35. Not sure how much yours will cost, but if the price is right, might as well get them done correctly.

Great news that made me smile big,

Grado is honoring the warranty as, though it was 20 days over, they said it was close enough

The headphones are en-route... and I miss them.
