Has anyone tried the Grado RA-1 amp with the Etymotic headphones? I think I am closing in on buying a portable amp/home amp for these phones, and was wondering if anything would come close to the cosmic?

Well it should work well with the Ety 4P however it will need to work harder driving the 4S version because of its 100 ohm impedence.

I have tried the RA-1 amp with the ER4S and it sounds very clear and smooth. I think its a great combo. The 40-50 battery life is very good compared to the 20 hour battery life by the Cosmic.
