How does one go about grounding those pots from Alps and Noble which are enclosed in a box-type case?

I've finished my Apheared #42 (took a day off from work to assemble it) and it worked almost perfectly on the first try! I just have a noise problem with the pot at near-full volumes and figure it's probably because it isn't grounded.

Any ideas? How does Jan Meier do it in his Corda amp?

EDIT: one solution that works fine is pinching a grounded wire between the pot's nut. and metal housing (on my blue Alps). I'm still interested in knowing how Meier grounds his pots.

Yep, on plastic enclosures, the only way you can ground pots is to pinch the wire between the pot casing and your enclosure. Solder doesn't stick to it.

Jan's corda uses a metal housing, so the case is the ground. Simply installing the jack will ground it...
