If you have a headamp between a wire remote and a CDP, will wire remote work?

That is, you have

Headphones -> plugged into a wire remote -> plugged into portable CDP.

and now you put Headamp in between:

Headphones -> plugged into a wire remote -> plugged into Headamp -> plugged into portable CDP (line output).

I have no idea what kind of signaling is used in case of wire remote in general. My CDP is Panasonic SX-500.

I've found wire remote extremely useful. When I walk on a street (and I walk a lot and always listen while walking), and somebody asks me something, I normally stop the player, then restart. Would like to keep this functionality.

TIA.

A wired remote needs to be plugged into the _headphone_ output of the portable. Using the line out won't work.

Here's what you should do:

CDP (line out) -> Amp -> Headphones
CDP (Headphone out) -> Remote

And twistie-tie the headphone cable to the remote cable, so you just have two cables running out (together) of your pack/backpack.
