Hi Everyone,

The New 2001 HeadRoom headphone amps have features that will identify them as our new line. They are 1. a three position gain switch, 2 a three postion filter switch 3. On the Supreme and Cosmic there are 4 switches on the front panel instead of 3 and on the Supreme/Cosmic there is now an on/off led. The Max has three switches on the front panel and the old boy has just 2... On the rear panel the Max has either 2 line inputs or 1 line in and a loop output as well as an output - the old Max just had one input and one output

Todd, there's also a rumor that you've improved the Headroom crossfeed processor somewhat. care to comment?

The crossfeed has changed but I can't get out of the engineer just what he did. (probably nothing knowing him).

Have you made any major changes to the electronics, or have you made minor improvements to them?

Also, have you updated the cosmetics, or do they basically look the same as the old models?

thomas, the new Max is all black. It has also had some substantial upgrades -- I think from the RCA jacks to the headphone jacks and everything in between. I hope HeadRoom posts pics on their site of the insides of all their amps as they did of the previous generation.

Sorry, Todd and Danny it's still not clear to me whether the processor has been tweaked in the new models. Has it? How was it changed and why? If that stuff is proprietary, we'll undestand. Just curious.

Yes,

The cross feed has been tweaked. I will leave it to Todd and Tyll to describe it. I do numbers, they do words. (Although Jude heard the 2001 Max with both versions)

and BTW-pictures do NOT do justice , the max is simply the best looking headphone amp I have ever seen in person (well solid state anyway)
