Excellent preamplifier with inbuilt headphone amplifier. Sounded excellent with my 660S and the active circuit was a treat with my 2ch setup. Works flawlessly and comes with a nice silver top installed - and a scuffed black one as a free extra. It had a heatsink from a modded BF2 rub on it. This Kara has silver buttons/knob unlike the matte ones which is a much nicer look. The active circuit on this is quite the upgrade from the Freya S and is incredibly performant. Features remote, stepped attenuator and new to the Schiit SS pre lineup - a beefy dedicated SE circuit. This is also an ideal tool to convert BAL to SE without sound degradation.
