    Focal Clear headphones

Sadly, there's no such thing. At least I didn't find It. I've tried a few Dekoni pads and also some from AliExpress but didn't find anything that comes close to the original Utopia pads.

    Focal Clear headphones

Do It if you are looking for a more technical and airier sound. I've run proper A/B with a Clear OG/Utopia OG swapping pads and Clear + Utopia pads become so close to the Utopia that I don't think I wouldn't be able to tell which one is which on a blind test. Same goes the opposite way. If you...

    Focal Clear headphones

The OG clear with Utopia pads sounds that similar to the Utopia, that I couldnt justify keeping my Utopia. The pads make the biggest difference between Focal headphones.

Best treble on an over ear?

Ananda nano would be a very good choice if you are looking for a bright headphone.

    Focal Clear headphones

Thats a steal, go for it. You can get a new pair of original pads or Utopia pads and you still would be getting a great deal.

    Focal Clear headphones

Id get the OG and will use it them with stock pads, which sound better than Dekoni pads. Don't worry if the pads are worn, they would sound good anyways. If you want a Cleaner& airier sound, get the original Utopia pads.

    Focal Clear headphones

I have owned both and prefer the OG all day.

What would be natural upgrade from HD800?

You should try EQ and put a bass shelf on It. It would improve a lot. There's nothing like the HD800s in the market. I mean, It might not be perfect, but it's definitely unique.

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements

Had almost all the Focal models and never heard such thing. Your unit might have some issues.

Final Audio D8000 Planar Magnetic Headphone

H pads are the way to go. The comfort and breathability are way better. They are also firmer and put the ears further from the driver, which improves the spatiality in my opinion. If anyone is missing bass, it's easy to EQ it.

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements

The price is totally fine. But you still can get a brand new Elex for that price. And also a 2nd hand Clear.

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements

Totally. The Bathys could have integrated the passive mode. About the Hadenys, I just can't see the appeal when you can get a Clear/Elear/Elex for a very good price nowadays. Yes, the Hadenys has a bass boost, but that's because it has more damping inside, which gives you more bass but has some...

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements

Totally unnecessary and 0 innovation from Focal. Im a fan of the brand, but no ones needs those models when you already have plenty of wired open&close backs in the brand.

Hi. Im looking for 2023 Edition Soloist 3X GT with Cool stand. It must be within the EU. Qudelix-T71 Thread | 8V RMS, PEQ & 7.1 Surround USB DAC/Amp

Really appreciate your impressions and measurements. The FR looks like it needs some EQ, but it's fine as you can do it easily witht the T71. I've never seen the appeal of such an IEM because the limitations that they have. Id love to see a full size can with these features, but we all know...

Headphone recommendations under $300, preferably planar magnetics. Or if possible, ways to give an oomph to my HD600 sub-bass!

Im not talking about quantity in the bass. I use parametric EQ with all my headphones and EQ them with a bit more bass than neutral because I listen at low volumes mostly, so I need some loudness compensation. Im far from being a basshead. When I compare headphones, I do it EQd with almost the...

Headphone recommendations under $300, preferably planar magnetics. Or if possible, ways to give an oomph to my HD600 sub-bass!

I've tried most of the planars that are out there (Susvara, HE6, LCD5&4, Final D8K Pro&LE...) I can appreciate that kind of bass, but in my subjective opinion, althought it can sound cleaner and more detailed, it can't match the sense of dynamics that a dynamic driver can produce. Even with EQ...

Headphone recommendations under $300, preferably planar magnetics. Or if possible, ways to give an oomph to my HD600 sub-bass!

It depends of the distortion of the headphones, the volume levels at what you listen and the recordings. If you are not hearing any distortion (even if there is some), you are good to go.

    Focal Clear headphones

Focal Utopia original pads. They don't change the frequency response too much and you get quite an upgrade in the technical department.

    Your BIGGEST headphone wish......

-HD800s with more bass extension -Focal Clear/Utopia with more soundstage -Hifiman Susvara with more dynamics. I guess it's almost imposible cause those designs achieve the excellence in some areas sacrificing other aspects.

Headphone recommendations under $300, preferably planar magnetics. Or if possible, ways to give an oomph to my HD600 sub-bass!

If you like the HD600 but want more bass, Id recommend you to save a bit more and go for a 2nd hand Focal Clear. I think that a planar might be too soft in the bass even if it has bass extension. When it comes to EQ, there's no such thing as "too much". You just need to adjust it to your liking.

Buy the Sennheiser HD800S now or save up for the HE1000SE? (Mostly Gaming)

I have owned the HD800s for a long time and used it on a wide variety of equipment, from Schiit Asgard 3 & Jotunheim, THX 887, Audio GD NFB 28.38, Bottlehead crack OTL, RME ADI 2 DAC, SMSL C200, Qudelix T71, XDuoo MT604, to name a few. Liked it on everyone, so I would not call It picky at all...

Buy the Sennheiser HD800S now or save up for the HE1000SE? (Mostly Gaming)

I have tried both. I prefer the HD800s. Imaging and soundstage is better on the Sennheiser, so I think that it is better suited for gaming. You might want to add an EQ bass shelf to help explosions and that stuff.
