"Maestro Mini were my introduction not only to the Maestros but to FATfreq as a whole. I was so impressed with them I blind bought a Grand Maestro within weeks and from there the sickness progressed"

Where have you progressed to? I thought GM was 100% the top of the bass mountain.

More bass than a full sized closed back headphone? :astonished: I'm excited to try the Scarlett for myself.

Excellent review, I was able to hear the Scarlet and OG Mini at CanJam SoCal side by side and echo your sentiments.

Nice write ups! I have read this review at least three times, while anxiously waiting for my Scarlet Mini to ship. I, too, have the Maestro Mini and can't wait to compare them both. My impression is that the Maestro Mini excels in bass (first) and mids (second), whereas the Scarlet Mini excels in bass (first) and artificial treble (second) with that hypertweeter.

Summed up: Do you listen to other things? Maestro Mini. Do you have other iems and want **** you bass? SCARLET.

🤣 Great review man, in the Pro bass league I'm on team Empire Ears but I've always been curious how FatFreq's latest monsters compared. This is the answers we needed!

EDIT: @Bret Halford have you had a chance to compare either your Scarlets or Grand CIEM to the XE6? I'm still holding out for impressions against the Duality later this year as well T_T
