What I can say is that some of us who spend a lot on audio are used to things being a pain in the ass. To be honest, the PITA factor sometimes scales directly with price. As an electrostat owner I would know. Convenience and higher priced audio products don't often go hand in hand.

Anyone try rooting the dap yet? Is the bootloader unlocked? Most of the software issues could be resolved if we could sideload a different player.

Any plans on adding grouping by album artist? This is the one feature I'm missing right now, most other music apps and players can do this no problem.

It has a 10 band PEQ (Gain/Q/Frequency) with the option of peak, and low/high shelf and a 10 band graphical EQ. You can use both at the same time.

There's only so much you can do with physical tuning in regards to bass, EQ is almost a must if you really want the fattest bass while keeping general listening volume to a reasonable level. If I'm using it anyways, might as well tweak the treble and mids while I'm at it. And add a neutral...

I've been into headphone audio for a while but after going through a neutral phase which lasted a few years I realized my true calling was finding the FATTEST clean bass in the universe. I like planars/estats (with a bass boost of course). Nice to meet everyone.
