    PSB M4U 8 vs NAD HP70 vs QC35II vs B&W PX vs B&O H9i

Wow, ok. This is my first review. I was in the process of trying to purchase a pair of wireless headphones and bought all of these and will be returning the ones that don't make the cut. I use a pair of LCD2.2 non fazor and a pair of neumann kh120 monitors as reference. The prices are as...

    Need advice on a headphone

Thanks, I just ordered both on amazon and they'll be here on Friday. I think the open backed nature of the LCD also adds to the realism, Ive noticed similarities between something like my hd650's as well.

    Need advice on a headphone

I recently showed my mother a pair of LCD 2.2 non-fazors, She fell in love. She said she has never heard music like that before and wants a pair of headphones. The problem is, she travels and doesn't want the hassle of bringing those behemoths around in her luggage along with an amplifier. I...

    Finally Buying LCD-2's need help

As the thread title suggests, I am finally able to buy a pair of audeze LCD-2, but I am paralyzed by the different models and iterations available. Can someone lay out which models are recommended and which to avoid. Also what is a reasonable amount to pay for a used pair. I just don't know...

[REVIEW] Woo WA6 vs Schiit Valhalla vs ALO Pan Am. The hard sell.

Great review. One thing I have noticed is the build quality difference between the three.  Personally having experience in fabrication and cnc machining, Woo Audio blows ALO out of the water. No doubt that ALO stuff sounds great, but I wish it was built with the kind of attention to detail as...

Monster Turbine Challenge - Reviewers Wanted!

I would be interested in the coppers.  My brother owns both the turbines and the golds,  I haven't been impressed with either, but I am willing to try the coppers.  My current setup is UE11pro's through a udac2 all flac files.  I am also a sound engineer have over 1000 hours of live experience. ...

is the ipod classic the ipod of audiophiles?

Speaking from someone who has had a few ipods, u2 edition black and white display, ipod photo 20gb, 5.5 gen 30 gb video, ipod touch 1st gen, 2nd gen 32gb, ipod classic 160gb, and a 2nd gen 2 gb nano. I can safely say I the 5.5 is warmer than the newest ones, but i actually prefer the sound of...

1st timer could use some help.

I started with the sr60i, returned those for 125's, and am now thinking about 325's.  My philosophy has always been to the nicest set of which I can really tell there is an improvement, ie when i first got the 60's i couldn't tell a huge difference between those and the 125's but now it has...

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile Headphones Review

I have listened to these several times and as much as I would like to bash them they aren't horrible.  But for the price, I think there are better alternatives, keep in mind you are paying a decent amount for that name.

What are your most comfortable cans for all-day use?

x2 on the Grado's I have some 125s and I wear them for up to 4 hours with no breaks.  Although a good set of custom iem's can do circles around many but the price of entry is steep.

Ultimate Ears UE5 vs UE7 vs UE10 vs UE11 - how much of a difference is there REALLY?

Sorry to bump a thread from the dead. But I feel that this is a topic I could be some help. I have owned both the UE-7 and UE-11 pro's.  The 7's have a ton of headroom, and are generally geared towards bass players and drummers. I found that they were a bit boosted in the high mid range. The...

Review by '1999siguy' on item 'Grado SR60i Headphones'

I bought these as an alternative to my UE-11 pro's.  Truth be told, my expectations weren't very high.  After owning two sets of custom iem's and two universal iem's, I wasn't expecting to be floored to say the least.  The first day I used them, they were overly bright.  I was planning on...

    Earbuds/IEMs help

I really liked the Westone UM1's for the money they are hard to beat.   I used them with the foam comply tips and the isolation was great, they also fit inside my ear, (which are small btw) to the point where i could lay my head on its side and they wouldn't bother me.  I have had problems with...
