Eimi Wakui|E. Elgar: Salut d'Amour - Pianist: Nargiza Alimova

Elgar was from a family background that could not afford to go to music school, so he earned his living by teaching music. It was during this time that he met and fell in love with Catherine Alice Roberts, the daughter of an aristocrat. His family opposed their marriage due to religious and status differences, but they overcame these obstacles and were united.

He dedicated this work to her when they were officially engaged, as she believed in his talent and supported him when he was unknown. Originally titled 'Liebesgruss' in German, the title was changed to French at the publisher's request. In English it is called 'Love's Greeting'

Eimi Wakui|F. Kreisler - Prelude and Allegro - Piano: Yu Nitahara

This piece is one of a series of concert pieces for violin and piano by the Austrian violinist Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962), falsely attributed to Pugnani. Kreisler was a violinist prodigy who graduated at the top of honours at the Vienna Conservatory and the Paris Conservatory, and as a composer he left many masterpieces. In addition to this piece, many of his other works were published under the name of other composers. It was Kreisler himself who presented his own compositions as old manuscripts, e.g. the Concerto in the style of Vivaldi and the Grave in the style of Bach, which are mainly associated with Baroque composers.
