New Head-Fier
Hi,
Hope I am in the right forum.
I recently got into EQ’ing using Soundsource on my Macbooks. I found profiles for most of my headphones, but had to create one for my Ultrasone HFI-680’s based on the diagrams found here (https://reference-audio-analyzer.pro/en/report/hp/ultrasone-hfi-680.php#gsc.tab=0).
With the HMS II3 Harman over-ear 2018 as target, AutoEQ gave me this for SoundSource:
Preamp: -11.50 dB
Filter 1: ON LS Fc 105.0 Hz Gain 11.4 dB Q 0.70
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 205.2 Hz Gain 9.5 dB Q 1.37
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 436.1 Hz Gain -1.7 dB Q 1.97
Filter 4: ON PK Fc 503.6 Hz Gain -6.2 dB Q 0.66
Filter 5: ON PK Fc 1480.4 Hz Gain -3.5 dB Q 1.61
Filter 6: ON PK Fc 2154.9 Hz Gain 5.2 dB Q 2.14
Filter 7: ON PK Fc 2788.1 Hz Gain 1.9 dB Q 1.04
Filter 8: ON PK Fc 5334.5 Hz Gain -3.7 dB Q 5.00
Filter 9: ON PK Fc 10000.0 Hz Gain -2.7 dB Q 4.64
Filter 10: ON HS Fc 10000.0 Hz Gain -13.5 dB Q 0.70
With the Preamp set at -11,5 dB, I have to turn the volume up a lot when using the profile. What is the risk if I either remove it or lower it to say -5dB?
Hope I am in the right forum.
