One driver of my LCD2 original (bamboo, no fazor) died, looking for a replacement. If you've got one it would certainly be appreciated.

Have you asked Audeze what the repair cost might be?

the drivers would have to be matched... otherwise you would just have imbalance between L & R... not mentioning Audeze is known for their drivers sounding different from one pair to other...

Located in Sweden. Refurbishing with two new fazor drivers by Audeze would - including service cost, parts, freight, custom fees and VAT - cost me $670 (I recently also bought the new pads, 100 bucks). Not worth it. More sensible to invest in a new, better pair of headphones.

But I might as well take a chance with a used driver, maybe it works, maybe not. If not successful the LCD2 goes straight to the bin.

That's a tough price to fix them. Have you tried asking advice in the Audeze thread?

And if you can't fix them, the chassis is worth money to the right person.

I'm in exactly the same position. My beloved LCD2F (2014) is sitting in its case for 2 years now after left driver failure.
An expensive paperweight...

It's just not cost effective to purchase and ship 2 matching drivers to South Africa - I can buy an almost new LCD2C for less money.
But I shan't because I simply don't trust the failure rate of Audeze drivers any longer.

Good luck my friend. I'm trying to RMA a cracking LCDXC drive, but apparently it's a known issue that Audeze judge normal. I hope my local store isn't sharing that idea.

Have you guys tried blasting the volume with them plugged in? My right-side driver (2012) died all of a sudden after a pad change but I read somewhere to plug it in and turn up the volume until the driver comes back. This worked for me surprisingly! Might be worth a try.
