I bought a brand new Final D7000 headphones from e-earphones in Japan back in March 2024, debated whether to keep it or sell it, ended up trying it out for a month to compare vs. my D8000, and concluded having both is somewhat duplicative, hence this listing.

I am also including a FInal OFC silver cable (1.5m long, 4.4mm termination) in this package ($499 + tax in retail).

Used in a cigarette & pet free home.

Will include PayPal fees and shipping.

Does this not count as a flip? It was bought for JP prices and sold for above cost. Cost is 398,000 JPY = 2.623,32 USD. If it isn't, what's stopping someone from doing the exact same for the Yamaha YH5000SE where the price delta between JP and USA is much greater...?

Hi, I am using the D7000 you brought up as I am typing this up.

1. I also explained in the ad that after making this impulse purchase after trying the D7000 out at e-earphones, I was unsure whether to use this or to continue using my D8000, so listed both for sale to see which one sells first. I ended up using both, so neither of those are available for sale.

2. Given the value and the size of this item (have you seen how big this thing is?????), PayPal and shipping fee combined will be $150 or above, so if I were to "flip" it, I would make not much more than $100. I am not going to tell you how much I make from my job, but I am not going to haul this giant box all over the place during my business trip to make ~$100. I travelled to two additional countries after Japan for my work and never checked in this box as a luggage, always carried this with me to the plane. Again, doing all this to make ~$100 is not worthwhile for most people, including me.

3. Your alternative options could be to buy a brand new one through a US retailer here and pay $3,500 + tax or an open box one for $2,900 + tax. OR you can use a third party shipping service and buy from a Japanese retailer, which would still cost well more than $2,623.32. Alternatively, you can travel to Japan and buy this there for yourself. Any of these options will stlil be more expensive than my offer price.

So what's stopping someone from FX arbitraging the Yamaha YH5000SE? Anyone can, but as I explained above, not worth it!
