This is a oldie but goodie DIY amp. These were hard to find in the wild even back in the day.

Please don't contact me if you have zero means of amp repair by yourself, friend, or trusted tech. The very nature of this type of amp is diy in nature and I'm not a manufacturer or business that could answer your questions. AMB forums are still quite active if you need help or have questions.

History in my care:

I've had this amp for about a year, has been very good to me and always happy to listen to it.

At one point I was attempting to set offset/bias by trimpot adjustment and this resulted in me causing a short blowing two output transistors (ones attached to the heatsinks), I replaced the blown transistors with parts originally supplied with the amp and hand matched the specs in the process. In hindsight I had checked the offset only due to having lost a channel on the output and this ended up simply being the result of a corroded old headphone jack. So the neutrik jack is now newly replaced and the bias is successfully set now. The amp has been great otherwise :)

The amp was originally built by Muskyhuntr many years ago. His diy skills are superior to mine and he has done some very nice projects over the years. High level of attention to detail on all parts of this one.

Custom powdercoated chassis with insanely oversized heatsinks. The left side heatsinking was drilled for the original Gilmore power supply which was later replaced by the AMB sigma 22 by muskyhuntr which proved to be more reliable in the long run.

The amp includes a epsilon 12 muting circuit for DC offset protection and power on mute delay. Output jack is neutrik locking with the lock spring removed (makes it easier to actually use). Volume attenuation is by elna rotary switch. Power on and standby LED's are handled via AMB sigma 25 and 24 for low voltage. Input jacks include a second set for loop out, this is a single input and output amp otherwise.

This amp is overbuilt, it is huge, and it is heavy. It comes with a ton of extra parts as well. This stuff is now unobtanium and very expensive to acquire as they are out of production. You could almost build another amp out of these parts.

Asking $500 net to me, buyer pays shipping and payment fees at cost.

Price is firm, I'm selling to help fund a vintage amp purchase that I couldn't pass on.
