Hi there, had the same problem at the beginning. Then I swaped the cable. Have tried the meze premium upgrade cables (copper, silver plated copper) with 4.4 balanced endings. Both were not to my liking. Finally, ended up with Lavricable "Grand". This put the Liric on a higher level sound- and...

That shouldn't be a problem. The "Grand"is on the warmer side! Not would you expect from a pure silver cable. At first I had the same problem. The treble of the Liric was too sibillant for my ears, but with the "Grand" everything was under control finally.

I recommend from Lavricables "Grand". I have tried many different cables, but the Grand is the very best. No sibillance, better clarity and imaging. Give it a try. The Liric plays in a complete different league.
