The Fiio X3 Thread.
I am still using my X3 i. The biggest negative was the user interface which was vastly improved by one of our forum members. It is still my go to player. I just got my hands on an x3 iii. It is a very different player with a different sound signature and a different interface. I'm still...- Ash Telecaster

Got the AH-D5200's today. All I can say is WOW. They are still burning in and I expected the highs to open up more with some burn in. They are the opposite end of the spectrum of my Sundara's. Powerful bass with mildly subdued highs. As I said, I expect the highs will open up with a little use...- Ash Telecaster

There is a version of the LCD2-Closed with the basic Audeze labelled caps is selling new on Headphones.com for $700. I'll definitely have to keep an eye open for used. I see one on ebay for $675 with the V on the caps. Still pushing my self imposed price limit. I was reading posts on the Elegia...- Ash Telecaster

I was just looking at Headphones.com. Out of budget but I was just looking at the Audeze LCD-XC with the wood caps. I don't know if they sound good but they sure look swank! And I didn't realize the Elegia's were discontinued!- Ash Telecaster

Hi AlwaysForward, I have an Android but I typically use a Fiio x3 through a Shiit stack. I demo'ed the K371 based on Kammerat Rebekka and kylebucksot recommendation and agree they sounded really good. Then I read a bunch of posts about all the quality problems those headphones have. Honestly I...- Ash Telecaster

Hi MHog55, I do not intend on mixing with them. Its more about assessing the final product so a little coloration is fine. The Ollo S4R look really nice. They definitely win the beauty contest!- Ash Telecaster

I had a chance to test the k371 along side a few others although the selection was pretty poor: V-moda m100, Beyerdynamics DT770 (thought these were discontinued) and a few others not really worth mentioning. The DT770 was most different from the others. It had a light and airy presentation...- Ash Telecaster

Thanks for both suggestions. I see wireless Pandas. I haven't considered wireless. Do you think there is any loss in fidelity with wireless compared to wired?- Ash Telecaster

Hi Evo, That is what is known as hijacking a thread...its not proper protocol...but since you asked, and I'm a nice guy, and I own the Sundara's I will tell you what I think. The Sundara's do a great job of getting out of the way. In other words the Sundara's sound like what you expect the...- Ash Telecaster

Hi All, I am kind of burned out reading headphone posts trying to get where I'm trying to go so I thought I would just ask for some opinions that might help me focus. I listen to a lot of musical styles and lately I have been listening to a lot of female vocalists oriented music but my core...- Ash Telecaster
