Does anyone have a spiritual successor to the Walnut V2? It's not in production anymore and literally impossible to source a V2S even second-hand. What's the newest DAP that has a more analogue-like sound - does Zishan have one? The Z1 sounds more crisp/analytical (less analogue) to me.

I was about to ask the same. I've been having a lot of fun with the V2 paired with the HD6XX (it powers them surprisingly well) but I see now the only Walnut version listed online is the F2, and that has a different op-amp...

Man, I'm really missing the Shozy Alien I had a few years back. Any recent DAP's comparable? I've been out of the game for a long time. I've tried the Walnut but it's not the same.

Do we have an example of this amp in an aluminium enclosure? Right now I'm enjoying another amp, not terribly expensive (definitely not $800), that is comparable with no interference. Again, I don't advocate using iems with this amp. The interference was with a full blown AKG K7XX.

Good for you, glad to hear it's working out. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a $300+ amp not to have interference on a 300 ohm headphone... but to each their own I guess. Just people should know that if you're bringing this into an office, have an IEMatch handy, even for high-impedance...
