Send them in for a repair. Takes about 2-3 weeks to get a replacement, but it is worth it. B&O even restarts the warranty on the replacement pairs.

And with just about same reasoning one can say why'd one be looking at H9 if they have no use for Bluetooth. 

I'm glad to see that B&O might have stepped up their headphone game recently. Beoplay H5 are pretty good and what I'm seeing here is that H9 is pretty good too, so maybe soon they can contend competitors like B&W. Not going to buy H9, since I never heard good sound out of Beoplay over ears and...

I never had X7 Plus, but the original X7 sounded very good for a sports bluetooth headphone. If the durability of the previous X7 wouldn't have left bad impression to me, I would have probably settled down with X7 Plus myself later on. Their sound quality is not as good as Beoplay H5, but...
