Two questions: What termination is the silver cable. Can you get the original invoice for transferrable warranty purposes?- BeardSplinter

HiBy RS8 flagship Darwin R2R Android DAP -- Class A -- news and impressions thread
Considering Hiby RS8 and R6 Pro II are marketed with Symphonium Crimson iems I wouldn't mind a preset for them either. 😁 Although, I would much rather have official support/graphs for the Darwin 2 filterset instead!- BeardSplinter

HiBy RS8 flagship Darwin R2R Android DAP -- Class A -- news and impressions thread
It's very subtle, the hard thing is articulating those changes. Even if I am able to give a description to my experience for each one we all have different chains. Our driver types/differences and their speed being the most important difference in my opinion. I think this is one area you would...- BeardSplinter

HiBy RS8 flagship Darwin R2R Android DAP -- Class A -- news and impressions thread
This link has the best descriptions of the original Darwin and new v2 filters. (I have not sideloaded yet but hear they are very good.) https://www.head-fi.org/threads/proof-of-evolution%E2%80%94darwin-filters-v2-for-hiby-rs6-rs8-rs2-fc6.969083/ DAC filters in general are a very...- BeardSplinter

HiBy RS8 flagship Darwin R2R Android DAP -- Class A -- news and impressions thread
It will most certainly drain the battery more, and as @Aetherhole mentioned turbo is 7.5V! I find turning on turbo in class AB with 16bit 44.1 flac files the battery drain is negligible compared to the sound improvement. I use darwin filter 10, atmospheric enhanced, harmonic at 80, no MSEB or...- BeardSplinter

HiBy RS8 flagship Darwin R2R Android DAP -- Class A -- news and impressions thread
I could not agree more, love my questyle M15 and while the bass quantity is comparable the RS8 is on a whole different level with the quality/texture of the bass. My RS8 always stays in turbo mode, even with BA bass the difference feels staggering in the dynamics and control. Class A or AB I...- BeardSplinter

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)
I got around to getting a pair of the Tangzu Sancai wide bore. @Premetec I will share my thoughts. Sancai regular bore - good timbre with an ephasis on bass/midbass punch and reduced highs with amazing technicalities, this may be due to deeper insertion by 2-3mm. Sancai wide bore - more...- BeardSplinter

AZ Head-Fi Mini-Meet Impressions Thread (2024-2-17)
The Crimson loves some voltage, but it also gobbles current for an iem. At under 7 ohms with cable and the Flat x-over tech it's a hungry iem. Woo tube straight up went into protect mode with it. Would be curious to check out portable Amps though. Love strong Vpp for those dynamics! -
Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)
Interesting, it looks like only the outer edge is wider. I may grab them in a week or two. What would you say is the main difference that you have noticed between the Standard bore and Wide bore of the Sancai?- BeardSplinter

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)
I only tested the standard bore which is precise to the Crimson bore. They sound so good I did not want to buy the others. I may grab them along with the spiral dot++ but honestly after spending around 140 USD on tips I'm very happy with Sancai Standard. I have no pressure issues, and for me...- BeardSplinter

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)
I also wanted to ask a super random question here. I absolutely love my Crimson. I am searching for recommendations to an open or closed back headphone with a similar FR. I've heard many high end headphones recently and none really scratch my itch for speed/low end quite like the Crimson...- BeardSplinter

Please see my older posts for my tip rolling experiences quoted below. For pressure relief/comfort and sound quality rivaling the stock Azla I am enjoying the Tangzu Sancai (normal) over everything else I've tried.- BeardSplinter
