Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Not crackles, it usually manifests as Audirvana just giving up playing a track and skipping to the next one. This only happens with 192kHz tracks, and only on my old computer. Converting these files to 96kHz using XLD works as a solution for this, but what I really want to know is are there any...

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Thanks, but I've narrowed this down to an old computer (2009 Macbook relegated to hifi duties) CPU/Memory/USB2 issue. On my 2015 Macbook all my cables (both optical and USB) are 100% fine playing at 192kHz. I really don't think I can hear any difference between 192kHz and 96kHz but I'd like to...

Hey @Rob Watts apologies for quoting an old post, I'm just wondering if you could give your opinion on converting 192kHz files to 96kHz using something like XLD? Assuming I'm using one of your DACs, is there any downside to this? I'm also having occasional problems playing back 192kHz files.

Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread

Pause the music and turn your amp up to full, and listen to what the tweeters are putting out. Then replace the iPower with a regular Apple iPhone charger and see if you get the same. I also tried this on some Mackie active speakers and got identical results to the Mojo/Naim set up. Whilst I...

Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread

My experience with the iFi iPower is not "really good". Whilst it may supply clean power to whatever it's powering via USB, it kicks back so much noise back into the mains it's not really usable for hifi/speaker applications (would be fine if you're listening to something like a Mojo/Hugo via...

Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread

I was under the impression the super capacitors on the HugoTT were essentially to help out the battery on power supply duty, not to beef up the analogue output stage, is this not the case? I can kind of understand how this would help re driving difficult headphones, but if you're just feeding an...

Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread

I'm sure you could replace the power supply with whatever you want, the fact it would have to be terminated with a micro-USB connector really shouldn't make a difference should it?

Supplied charger is 5v 2A So I'd imagine it needs that. What's the problem with a Micro USB connection?

Chord Qutest: the successor to the 2Qute with Hugo 2 tech!

No, signal is on the larger USB connector on the left, power is on the micro-USB on the right, you can tell this by the little lightning 'power' symbol.

Some UK Chord dealers have been dumping 2Qutes on eBay at £795 this week, I'd expect the announcement to be the 3Qute.

Yep: Thumbs down. iPhone 6s, iOS11, Mojo attached via Meenova cable: Played music for about 1 minute before freezing and 'accessory not supported' popup. Maybe it works with the CCK, but this doesn't bode well.

    Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

Even though I use cheapo Fisual cables (about £5 each) they work fine at 192khz (never had a single dropout/issue) with my newer Macbook Pro, and also the X-USB. The problem is that Apple didn't support these rates until after 2013: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202730
