I was on 1.0.1 and like you couldn't download 1.0.3 from their website. On the device, I did the online update to 1.0.2. Then it let me update to 1.0.3. In other words, can't go straight from 1.0.1 to 1.0.3.

From my understanding, the HDMI ARC connection will send video signal from R9 to the TV/receiver and sound from TV/Receiver to the R9 but not sound from R9 out to TV/Receiver.

I was very surprised when MQA encoded tracks were not affected. I believe the engineers should be made aware of this as the bug is likely related to the decoder used for FLAC files (perhaps it was updated in the FW1.0.2 and the decoder is where the bug is).

The problem occurred with that function turned on and also when turned off.

I copied FLAC files to the internal storage of the machine. And the problem still occurs.

Additional observation: MQA tracks are not affected. Compared "Song of I" by Steven Wilson on Qobuz (96/24 FLAC) versus Tidal (96/24 MQA). No issues on the Tidal version of the same song. Qobuz was clipped during the introduction.

I have EQ disabled in global settings as well as in each APP. The problem occurs within albums in which all songs have same sampling rate and resolution. And the problem is not consistent which makes it much harder to pinpoint the issue.
