Ferrum Audio ERCO - Headphone DAC/Amp
I am living in Turkey, and I have bought in 2022 October. I will wait first impressions from some upgraded Erco units, then will decide if it will worth to send. I already like it's current sound. I will only send if there is clear improvements. So I hope someone can share their impressions here.- chaturanga

Need a protective case for my Erco DAC/AMP
I need a protective carrying case for my desktop DAC/AMP, waterproof for some degree is preferred. DAC is Ferrum Erco, dimensions: (WxDxH) 21.7 cm x 20.6 cm x 5 cm / 8.6” x 8.1” x 2.0”. Do you know any good ones with customizable inner parts?- chaturanga

Did you update Hypsos and Erco to the latest firmwares available on Ferrum's support page? But even after updates, it's better to use with a computer. (And download ASIO driver from Ferrum Support page for Erco if you use with a Windows computer) Yes it's working with smart phones and it will...- chaturanga

Hey guys, do you think that I can get any benefit from a galvanic isolator for Erco? I have a chance to get Intona 7054-X-DK (used), which is a USB 2.0 galvanic isolator. And I am using Erco with my laptop which has USB 3.0 ports by the way is it meaningless to get a USB 2.0 isolator?- chaturanga

I started to be skeptical about that you have a dozen HD DAC1 and you are trying to sell them Just joking :k701smile: I got Ferrum Erco and keeping Marantz at the same time will be a little luxury for me, that is why I listed it (in a local website in Turkey) to sell but at the same time I am...- chaturanga

I don't care measurements so much actually, I care mostly people's feedbacks :) I will not "measure" equipment with my ears, I will listen them and I am in this hobby to enjoy my music not to measure it. If a perfect measuring device sounds dull and lifeless or if I...- chaturanga

So you have both of them right? How can you define sound difference? I have HD DAC1 but also was thinking to buy RME (later I changed my mind). I know RME is more modern and have lots of features loaded but curious to learn sound difference only.- chaturanga

You can find a Windows PC and upgrade Erco's firmware, then you can try with those devices again. May be it can fix your problem but I am not hopeful. Because in my case, it solved my problem on PC usage (as firmware update was for that reason) but it did not help problems with cell phone...- chaturanga
