The last? of the "Great Romantic Violin Concertos" admirably played by young Maria in the Rudofinum Prague. I wish I had been present at that Concert. I have been there quite a few times. Beautiful music from the past. But to my surprise it seems the era of Great Romantic Piano Concertos is... -

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
Hmm, after a refreshing "8 hours nap" I humbly confess,I may have been a bit blunt there. Not really my intention more an obsvervation of the constant noise pollution too many take for granted ,though not I. Sorry GoldenSound if I offended you.But Reputator did you read my last sentence...- Christer

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
I have to admit that watching this made me even more interested in auditioning their V2. V1 made me interested enough to almost buy it.But the discomfort and some issues with its SQ "saved me" . But PLEASE ,PLEASE GoldenSound, why on earth are you adding this EXTREMELY ANNOYING BACKGROUND...- Christer

The New Chord Quartet MScaler Discussion Thread
Well the price difference will not be nearly in the same category as adding ferrited BNCs to HMS was. My guess is we're talking a HUGE increase in price going from HMS to Quartet. But will there also be an easily audible, increase in SQ of a similar magnitude as the expected horrific extra...- Christer

The New Chord Quartet MScaler Discussion Thread
Hmm, so did I, ie. I bought an Mscaler to go with my Qutest also as soon as it was launched and although even with the supplied bnc cables there was an easily audible improvement in SQ over Qutest on its own, I also went through the VERY expensive but even more audible improvement of adding...- Christer

Gracias Luis, my very rusty Spanish was not too bad ,then. But the orginal German title die Seejungfrau actually translates as the Mermaid just to confuse things a bit. Pero my proof reading spotted a slight error on your part in this post. Are you absolutely sure that Richard Strauss died... -

Nice "Off the Beaten Track" Music. But correct me if I'm wrong. ?Pero, La Sirenita?= the Little Mermaid.?Verdad? I stayed at the headquarters of Corcovado national park in Costa Rica called La Sirena a few times. Richly scored not exactly "Standard Repertoire",score, like Strauss' Also... -

Nice organic headphone stand. I use an empty square bottle of Bombay Sapphire Gin as headhone stand and a nice but a bit rough piece of firewood that was just to nice looking to burn. Finished the Gin years ago. But my headphones sit nice and steady on it. Wines of the Week ,White Lindeman... -
Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread
I would add that like ALL the other Chord dacs that can be used with an Mscaler it is imo, essential to do so if one wants to hear its full potential with Unamplified Acoustic Instruments. And yes that also includes Dave imo. I am of course very interested to hear what the new Quartet Scaler...- Christer

Introducing the CORINA Electrostatic Reference Headphone
Nice to read comments from a person quoting a genre that actually matters in the true sense of the term HIFI, very rare these days. I have yet to audition either of the two but could it be that one is closer to how real acoustic instruments sound live ? Cheers CC- Christer

Thanks,John, since discovering contemporary composers like Anna Thorvaldsdottir, Clara Ianotta and Andrea Tarrodi among others, I listen more to Contemporary Music and Asian World Music than to Popular Western Classic Music. "Fragments of Sky" reminds me of Toru Takemitzu's "How Slow the Wind"... -

CanJam Singapore 2024 (April 6-7, 2024)
Yes indeed, A very short walk down "Memory Lane" for me. I used to take my clients to Makansutra for lunch or dinner. "Good foodjoint " ,pun intended. Also a good spot to watch the Sound and Lights Show from with a "Chilled Tiger in hand". Back on topic of Canjam, there r some new...- Christer
