oh that's amazing! Which apex module did you use? did you notice any drops in any particular frequencies that may make the concert-going experience worse?- clixkk

Thanks everyone for all the great insights. I think I know what I need to look out for looking forward. I do have one more question that might be a bit random... I've recently been looking into earplugs to be used for going to concerts... something to protect my hearing but still be able to...- clixkk

thank you! I really appreciate your perspective. I'm definitely excited to try out the different APEX modules as well hence deciding on 64audio :) really appreciate your response as well. I'm definitely leaning more towards A3t if I'm going with the 3-driver option considering the tubeless...- clixkk

hey folks, I'm considering getting custom IEMs and would love to hear if anyone has any insights... initially I was looking at the A3e, but was wondering if the A3t would be worth springing a couple hundred dollars extra for? Can anyone explain, functionally speaking, what the difference would...- clixkk

hmm interesting... I'm trying to wrap my head around what it would sound like, and if that's worth spending the money on getting impressions and then getting customs. Is there any way to describe what "less occlusion" would be like, if not to the extent of the touching effect?- clixkk

Interesting stuff... so the apex modules should be able to give the same effect then? (to varying degrees depending on the module I would assume)- clixkk

Thanks for the warm welcome and the answer! I am definitely not expecting it to sound like the open backs... that's basically zero occlusion and I'm just hearing my own voice naturally in the room! I have played around with this though and I don't know if this is something anyone else has...- clixkk

Wow thanks so much for the immediate response! If I may ask a follow up question regarding the apex modules... I can definitely see how removing the module entirely will lose a ton of bass, but does that also happen going from m20 to mX modules?- clixkk

hey folks, new to head-fi here as I was told it's better to ask in this official 64 audio thread than to expect an answer from the company email 😅 I'm new to the world of custom IEMs and am trying to do as much research as possible since I can't backtrack and resell or return if it doesn't end...- clixkk
