    FiiO E10K or Schiit Fulla 2 ?

Yea, the hd 598 was fairly popular, and some ppl do say it is an excellent all around budget phone. If looking for a neutral sound, the 598's are probably good. In my personal opinion, the hd 598s are a little too neutral/more on the laid back side (recessed, mellow) to enjoy some edm/pop music...

    FiiO E10K or Schiit Fulla 2 ?

I would get the schiit. I too would say that the hd 598's aren't the best for edm/pop genres. I would look into some of audio technica's phones instead especially if bass isnt an issue

    Fiio E10k causing distortion, poor

I've had the e10k for a while and can watch twitch or listen to soundcloud with no issues. Strange issue you have. My fiio does make a beeping/static sound from interference from my cell phone, where my schiit amp doesnt have this problem. The fiio for sure as weak shielding. If it happens worse...

    Sony mdr1000x or mdr1a?

I would say one of its strong point is its bass. The sub and mid bass are strong and fun to listen to. Mids and Highs arent too forward. I would say Sony made a pair that tries to appease a general audience, yet with good bass and clear highs. Soundstage is ok, not the most expansive. For...

    Jerry Harvey Audio's Patent Falls

Companies who are sued for patent infringement often resort to challenging the validity of the patent in the first place. The decision mentions a pending court case where I assume Jerry Harvey was suing 64 Ears (Jerry Harvey Audio Holding, LLC v. 1964 EARS, LLC, (M.D. Fla)). The decision made...

Professional vs Home: Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro vs Beyerdynamic Amiron Home

Amirons are the spiritual successor to the T90s with "additional fabric" added to essential dampen the piercing highs people complained about. The mids/highs are rather laid back and distant compared to the 1990s. I prefered the 1990s because I actually like forward mids. Amiron for a laid back...

    Sony mdr1000x or mdr1a?

I second that the mdr1a should be super comy. I've never tried the 1000x, but have the mdr1a (non-wireless version). In terms of comfort, its one of the most comfortable headphones ive used. The clamp is soft, and the earpads are also very soft and easy on your ears.

    Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone

Amiron wins by a mile in terms of comfort. I had to go with the 1990s in the end. Just could not enjoy the Amirons sound signature at all.

Beyerdynamic Amiron Home (the new T90)

This is my late comparison with the Amirons and 1990s. Amiron's had a more laid back, recessed and distant upper mids/highs. If you raise the volume too much, you do get some piercing highs imo despite the supposed dampening they added. Amiron was definitely more comfortable with a softer feel...

2017 Audio Technica new flagship ATH-ADX5000

I loved the airyness and energy of the ad500/700x, though I'm sure this is more of an upgraded r70x. Soo expensive but I'm still hyped
