Woo Audio WA22 Amp Owner Unite
The only hum I have encountered has always been tube related so far in my WA22. Dead silent with good tubes. The Chord Dave pairs very well with it too. I am very tempted to get a Mjolnir 3 just as an additional flavor for my system but every time I plug in the Woo I think it doesn’t get...- dguitarnut

Woo Audio WA22 Amp Owner Unite
Just installed a Psvane 5U4G Vacuum Tube and it sounds better than the Sophia Mesh …………I’m really enjoying my newly acquired WA22 with the Focal Stellia.- dguitarnut

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
I use balanced cause my balanced cables are better than my SE cables and actually sound better. My Iggy i left on all the time but since I got the Dave I turn off my whole system because I can and want to lol- dguitarnut

I prefer silver all the way! Matches my Pass Labs Int-60 amp and LUMIN U-1 streamer. Sounds superb thru my Magico S1MK2 speakers. Larry- dguitarnut

Life after Yggdrasil?
I had both the Dave and Yggy side by side. The Dave had a much better 3D like separation of vocals and instruments. Is it worth it? Only your pocketbook can decide. The yggy is a champ lasting 4 years in my system........put it up against Lampis, Ayres and PS audio pwd2 and it bested all of...- dguitarnut

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
I had the Yggdrasil and the Chord Dave both in my system for more than a week. After extensive A/B in my speaker system the Dave won out. There was better staging with a more 3D feeling about it. I ended up selling the Yggy and bought a Dave. Yep it's a little better.....I don't think it's more...- dguitarnut

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Put me in the untrustworthy category, and throw in my dealer. We both have not heard any Dac with volume control built in sound better without a Preamp in between at least with speaker systems. Larry- dguitarnut

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
My listening room/office is sort of sound isolated small 11x14. My speakers are set up in nearfied fashion 3ft from side walls 5ft apart and 5ft from back wall with slight adjustments to these numbers as I dialed in the sound with movement of speakers and listening chair.. I probably have $30K...- dguitarnut

I don't wanna get flamed but you haven't heard what Dave can do until you listen to it on a high quality speaker system. There, i said it.- dguitarnut

By standby do you mean on mode 4 when the display turns off? Is the whole unit on standby or is it just the display?- dguitarnut

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
I was about to post my impressions on my new Dave. My previous Dac was a Schitt Yggdrasil which kept me happy for the last 2 or 3 years having replaced my Ps Audio PWD2. I was having the upgrade itch and really didn't know what to expect in my testing as I had been satisfied with my Yggdrasil...- dguitarnut
