Some similarities, including the warmer, smoother sound. M1 is more detailed, more dynamic and deeper, S17 PRO is smoother and warmer. Midrange tonality is really similar. both have a smooth treble. Both have a bassy bass. Bass is deeper and somewhat stronger on M1, more punch. Unit is smaller...

I have tested it with both hard to drive and easy to drive headphones, IEMs, it gets warm, but not incredibly hot. It is about as warm as HIFIMAN Serenade or HIFIMAN EF600, colder than Aune s17 PRO or JDS Labs Element III Mk2 Boosted. I have around 20 to 24 C in the room, heat is not an issue

I would say that Listening M1 sounds even better than it looks, can confirm the midrange is magically rich and smooth, deep and powerful bass, and superb transient response / dynamics!

I have given up on G502, had about 5 so far, they die after about a year. Been through a few different ones, but to get one with enough buttons for a few shortcuts, as I had on G502, I eventually got a Razer Naga V2 PRO, which has all of the shortcuts I need, and an interesting scroll wheel too...

The overall quality is very nice, both the dac 2 and amp 2 are natural sounding, slightly warm, good soundstage, and low noise. LOTS of power on the AMP 2

The sound of the Cobalt is actally quite nice, open, wide, and pretty airy. I think they need something extra in the DAC/AMP to sound good, I like them a lot with the drop x xduoo TA-84 and Feliks Echo 2, both tube based amps, better bass, more control, more punch

Crosszone will sell you everything you need. Some distribution channels too, if you ask, they don't stock those though. The earpads don't eat away much after even years of usage

I am trying to do something and I can't find anything about it. Is it possible to get a preamplifier function for EF600 in any way? When I try connecting any speakers to it, they just run at full volume, I would need a pre function where the speakers would run at lower than max volume from...

I also have to say, Lavricables is one of the fastest to respond when there's an issue. I had the chance of breaking the Ultimate Silver, and they got it fixed in less than 3 days after it arrived to them, amazing service!
