PGGB Offline Remastering
I can only seem to find 5.3.46.0 in the download section of Remastero.com. Is PGGB Plus 6.0.42 hosted somewhere else or am I not looking at the section?- edwardsean

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion
Hey fellas, how are you creating the horseshoe clips that attach to the i4? For me, I like the ear hooks but they keep breaking every few months at the clip where they connect to the i4. I'm going to get some ear hooks printed to hopefully find a more permanent solution. Any advice?- edwardsean

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Yup. Same page. I wrote earlier, that if it were not for PGGB I would have moved off of Dave a while back. Don't get me wrong. I love upscaled Dave, but in my system it is still missing the sheer palpable density of what I've heard out of DCS or what I imagine the May might be capable of (I've...- edwardsean

Thanks for those details. That already moves me away from M2. The thing I struggle with most on Dave is that it's already on the leaner side. If I ever move from Dave it will be for something that has a similar level of transparency, imaging, and resolution but with more "warmth, texture, and...- edwardsean

I think that's exactly the right set of questions to ask. Yes you are, and yes it is a lot of it. It's a shame to forego all that work that went into the WTA filter, and if you don't have Mscaler or PGGB, it truly is a fine filter. But, for myself, I honestly would not use Dave without the...- edwardsean

That is why, sir, we're all getting the popcorn ready for your firsthand reporting. It becomes another trusted point of reference for the data plot. What you say will start to tip things for me as to whether I need to get a M2 and test for myself.- edwardsean

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Just to beat this horse until it's good and dead: PGGB. I've spent as much upgrading the Dave, at this point, as on the Dave itself. Not everyone will agree with this, but bang for the buck, PGGB is the winner for me. Again, it's not the simplest in terms of the time needed to reencode files...- edwardsean

It's got settings, but you don't need to mess with them. The automatic settings are usually the best unless you have some exotic use cases. There are EQ options, but that's EQ. It just works "right out of the box." It really is a different proposition from HQP in that way. I used to use HQP...- edwardsean

Honestly, that's hilarious (grinning). I am fairly confident though that, aside from a conclusion, there will be some insightful analysis. Dan Mance really highlighted M2's superior "transparency." I'd like to hear Triode User's assessment on other components of SQ as well, staging, dynamics...- edwardsean

Chord 2Go & 2Yu Wired/Wireless Network streamer and S/PDIF adaptor - Official thread
Right, there are options out there that can do both clarity and density/dynamics, but the components and design is going to cost. I think the 2Go/2Yu is a great value proposition. From the upscaling side, if you want to add note density PGGB does that, which increasing clarity, resolution...- edwardsean

Thanks, I see. Then, I'll really be anticipating Triode User's tests and take on this. Since noise is a significant factor in all of this, I wonder what difference the Innuous Phoenix might make. I'm feeding a usb to optical signal into the phoenix which then goes, via a sablon cable, to a...- edwardsean

Chord 2Go & 2Yu Wired/Wireless Network streamer and S/PDIF adaptor - Official thread
I also use the 2Go with the SDCard, it's amazing, especially with PGGB upsampled files. Thanks, that's really helpful and right along with what I would suspect. Innuous products have really nice power supplies and so I bet that contributes to that weight and dynamics. I would want this with...- edwardsean

Have you tested this against dedicated streamers, Innuous, Grimm MU1, or even just NUCs? I have a 2Go and have always been curious about adding the 2yu.- edwardsean

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
The discussion about the M2 v. Dave has been fascinating. I don't know if this has been raised before, but can I ask two questions? 1) Is all of this due to some witchcraft specific to the M2, or can the battery powered H2 also best the Dave with the same setup? 2) Can these tests be done with...- edwardsean
