I own them, the Tiandirenhe MJ Signature, and I really like them. The sound is fairly warm, with an emphasis on the bass (the graph shows the bass increasing very gradually from 700 Hz to about 230 Hz and then increasing + 7 db at the most around 40 Hz). The lower and upper mids are smooth, no...- ericf

A review of Simgot Supermix 4 with comparisons to Kiwiears Quintet. It includes recordings to compare and I find it quite interesting. To me, the Quintet sounds quite open and impactful compared to the Supermix 4 which has a somewhat nasal tone and, to me, too much upper frequency loss. To each...- ericf

It seems like the Simgot Supermix 4 has almost the same graph as the Kiwiears Quintet, with similar technicalities. That puts it off my list of puchases as I don't need a new IEM that will sound very much the same as one I already own. I'll just have to 'hold it in' until something else comes...- ericf

I have not seen any real benefits with IEMs that cost more than $200 so far. The most expensive one I have is $700. It is gorgeous but it doesn't fit my ears, has too sharp treble and didn't come with much of a 'package'. The second most expensive IEM I have cost me $500 at launch with a...- ericf

Yeh, I've seen other comments on Tiandirenhe IEMs that have bad channel balance. That said, the lines follow pretty much the same line, only at different loudness. Too much dampening on the right channel? I'm not sure why that is so difficult to work out for them but it might be a smaller...- ericf

I like it as well. The shell is very thick/chunky, though, so it didn't fit my ears that well. By looking at the official graphs and comparing to the graphene DD of the Tiandirenhe TD19, this has more emphasis at 2k and a smaller, shallower cut to avoid sibilance between 4.5 and 8.5, too (TD19...- ericf

Too late. I got mine a few days ago. I haven't tried it yet, though. I bought it together with a couple of silver/purple cables for my IEMs with that color scheme. (XINHS 8 strands of silver-purple single crystal copper plated with silver). I'm not one to spend a lot on cables.- ericf

I can't be 100% certain, but after trying a couple of Klipsch in ears (one no name with squishy foams attached and the other was a variation of S4) I finally bought a 'high end' IEM for the first time: AKG N40. I still like the sound but it's so small that it won't stay in my ears for long. Thus...- ericf

Not totally sure it's part of the sale, but it's always a sale on Ali, isn't there? Anyway, I got myself a few new Tiandirenhe products. I have a few already and have liked most of them. Only one dud so far. They seem to have been the OEM manufacturers behind Magaosi (my favourite IEM is Magaosi...- ericf

Could you please measure the shells so we can decide whether they are too large? The Tangzu ZeTian Wu was a bit too 'fat' in my ear but not the nozzle. This IEM has a different shape but seems to have similar outer ear shape. Length and width of the faceplate, thickness at wide, outer ear part...- ericf

Having now had the time to let Kiwi Ears Quintet get 'burned in' for 30+ hours, some things have changed. I know that planar drivers need some time to start delivering. That happened with my Hifiman HE400i. After a while, it suddenly 'changed' its sound signature and became more authoritative...- ericf

I don't see any info on Tangzu Xuanwu Gate anywhere. All I know is that it's a tribrid. No detailed pictures, no price information, no sound impressions and no info on what three drivers are in this IEM. They were supposedly available for listening at two audio shows late September together...- ericf

Got the Kiwi Ears Quintet in the mail today. First impressions are: Fit: They fit my ears very well using the wide bore medium sized tips that come with the IEM. They have a good outer shape and has a quite long (a bit too long) nozzle with the proper angle (not like Penon Fan 2). Fin doesn't...- ericf

Akros does talk about the Tiandirenhe V3 in his QOA Vesper 2 video. You can see the graph there. In real life its bass has a rather small impact. The original Magaosi V3 was supposedly a bass heavy IEM though I've seen 2 very different graphs for it. One can be found at squig.link. That one...- ericf

Yeah, I know. I think it has something to do with the very gradual pinna gain on the DQ4 but maybe because the TSMR Land is a tribrid? I think the graph is for switch setting 010. Also, it's really difficult to get them to stay put in my ears. Nozzle and IEM shape doesn't work with my ears. Then...- ericf
